The Rajasthan State Health Department launched an initiative deploying 29 advanced portable X-ray machines powered by Artificial Intelligence to rapidly identify individuals with suspected Tuberculosis (TB), including in remote villages. The AI-enabled machines can provide instant screening results, significantly reducing the time between detection and treatment initiation. India accounts for about 25% of the world's TB cases, according to WHO's Global Tuberculosis Report 2025. The Rajasthan government's initiative aligns with the national target of eliminating TB by 2025, though India has extended the goal to 2030. The portable machines will be deployed through mobile screening vans targeting high-burden districts including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, and Kota.
