The Chief Minister of Rajasthan officially launched the Rajasthan Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI-ML) Policy 2026 alongside the National AI Literacy Programme. The policy represents the state's comprehensive roadmap to position Rajasthan as a leading AI destination in India, leveraging its existing IT infrastructure, connectivity projects, and engineering talent pool.

The policy provides for setting up AI Centres of Excellence focused on sectoral use-case development, research and industry collaboration, and responsible AI and policy frameworks. Official policy material does not identify city-specific Techno Hubs in Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur.

A key pillar of the policy is integrating AI into government service delivery. The state aims to deploy AI tools in departments including health, agriculture, education, and revenue administration to improve efficiency, reduce corruption, and enhance citizen experience. Predictive analytics will be used for crop advisory services and disease surveillance.

The policy explicitly complements the Central Government's India AI Governance Guidelines 2026 and the Seven Sutras framework announced by MeitY, ensuring alignment with the national AI ecosystem. The accompanying National AI Literacy Programme aims to train one million young people in artificial intelligence skills.
