The Rajasthan government revised its postgraduate (PG) medical bond policy effective September 2025, increasing penalties to ₹1.5 crore for high-demand specialties including dermatology, radiodiagnosis, obstetrics & gynaecology, and general medicine. Orthopaedics, paediatrics, and surgery face ₹1 crore; non-clinical specialties like pathology face ₹50 lakh; and diploma courses face ₹25 lakh. The policy applies to NEET PG 2025 Rajasthan graduates and mandates a 2-year compulsory rural service across all 27 specialties. The Rajasthan Medical Education Department issued the revised order on September 1, 2025, aimed at addressing the rural healthcare workforce shortage.
