The Vice President highlighted concrete sector applications already operational in India, including AI-assisted tuberculosis screening through the National TB Elimination Programme, telemedicine through eSanjeevani, smart agriculture advisories, MSME credit scoring, the BHASHINI language platform that converts parliamentary papers into multiple Indian languages, and AI tools used by the e-Courts mission for the judiciary. Addressing the ethical dimension, he cautioned that every great technological power must be guided by responsibility and that AI must always be guided by the principles of fairness, accountability and ethics. Union Minister of State and IIPA Executive Council Chairman Dr. Jitendra Singh and IIPA Director General Dr. Surendra Kumar Bagde, along with senior civil servants, faculty and students, were present at the lecture.
