Three Rajasthan residents were named for Padma Shri awards announced on the eve of Republic Day, January 26, 2026. Gafruddin Mewati Jogi received the award in the field of art and is known for Rajasthan's Mewati folk and bhapang tradition. Taga Ram Bheel, an algoza-playing folk musician from Rajasthan, was also listed in the field of art. Swami Brahmdev Ji Maharaj received the honour in the social work category.

The Padma Shri is India's fourth-highest civilian honour. Rajasthan's representation in the 2026 Padma Awards highlights the state's rich cultural heritage and the contributions of grassroots artists and social workers.
