On February 24, 2026, the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) commenced its 75th Foundation Year (Platinum Jubilee) celebrations at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event was presided over by Union Minister of Labour & Employment Mansukh Mandaviya. The Government of India released a special ₹75 commemorative coin to mark the occasion, with the Ministry of Finance issuing a gazette notification on February 23, 2026 authorising it. A special Coffee Table Book titled 'ESIC@75' documenting the corporation's journey was also released.

ESIC was established on February 24, 1952 under the Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948, making it one of India's oldest and largest social security schemes. Starting with just about 1.2 lakh beneficiaries and a single dispensary in 1952, ESIC today serves over 15 crore beneficiaries through 166 hospitals, 17 medical colleges, and nearly 1,600 dispensaries nationwide. A Special Services Fortnight was announced from February 24 to March 10, 2026 across all field offices, hospitals, and medical institutions to enhance outreach to insured workers.

For Rajasthan, ESIC is particularly relevant as the state has a large organised manufacturing sector including textiles (Bhilwara), cement (Chittorgarh), and mining industries, where ESI coverage protects lakhs of workers.
