The Sumangal Diwali Fair 2025 was inaugurated on October 1, 2025, by Dr. Kirori Lal, Rajasthan's Minister for Rural Development, at the Indira Gandhi Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Institute (IGPRS), Jaipur. Organised by the Rajasthan Grameen Aajeevika Vikas Parishad (RAJIVIKA), the fair ran from October 1 to 12, 2025. The event featured 65 handcrafted product stalls showcasing authentic Rajasthani handicrafts and textiles made by Self-Help Group (SHG) women from various districts of Rajasthan. A curated food court highlighted traditional Rajasthani cuisine including dal-baati-choorma, gatte ki sabzi, ker-sangri, ghevar, and malpua. The fair served as a market linkage platform, connecting rural women artisans directly with urban consumers. RAJIVIKA (under National Rural Livelihoods Mission — NRLM) has empowered over 35 lakh rural women in Rajasthan through SHGs, providing training, credit access, and market linkages to make them economically self-reliant.
