Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched India's first-ever national-level 'Organised Crime Network Database' (OCND) on December 26, 2025 at the Anti-Terror Conference 2025, organized by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The AI-powered database is designed to dismantle criminal syndicates that compromise internal security.

The OCND integrates FIRs, charge sheets, dossiers, and other critical inputs from all states, making them accessible to investigating agencies in real time. It offers voice-matching capabilities, fingerprint data, and rapid cross-referencing. The NIA developed the OCND in collaboration with state police forces and NATGRID. Amit Shah also launched a Weapons Database for lost, looted, and recovered arms. He declared the government is planning a '360-degree assault on organised crime.'
