India's defence production reached a record ₹1.54 lakh crore in FY 2024-25, with defence exports climbing to ₹23,622 crore from less than ₹1,000 crore in 2014. The private sector's share grew from 21% to 23% with over 16,000 MSMEs now participating in the defence ecosystem.
