Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for India's largest Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) — a 2,500 MWh project — integrated with a 1,560 MW-peak solar power plant in Pugal, Bikaner, Rajasthan. The project is being developed by Avaada Group with a combined investment exceeding ₹9,200 crore. It will generate over 1,600 green jobs, cut CO₂ emissions by 20 lakh tonnes annually, and conserve 600 lakh litres of water per year through robotic cleaning. The 200 MW Shri Dungargarh Solar Project was also inaugurated.
