Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, unveiled a ₹10 lakh crore (~$110 billion) plan to build AI computing infrastructure in India over seven years at the India AI Impact Summit on February 18-19, 2026. This is the largest private-sector AI investment plan globally.

The investment will fund gigawatt-scale data centres, with construction already begun in Jamnagar, Gujarat (120+ MW capacity expected online by H2 2026). Reliance plans an edge-compute layer integrated with Jio's telecom network for low-latency AI services reaching every corner of India. The company will also develop AI capabilities in Indian languages. Ambani described the investment as 'patient, disciplined, nation-building capital.'
