NITI Aayog organised a Regional Best Practices Seminar in Visakhapatnam as part of the Aspirational Districts Programme (ADP) and Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP). The seminar brought together southern states to share learnings and successful interventions across health, education, and livelihood indicators. The Aspirational Districts Programme, launched in January 2018, targets the most underdeveloped districts to improve key socio-economic outcomes. Rajasthan has 5 Aspirational Districts under the programme, spread across regions with low performance on composite indicators covering health, nutrition, education, agriculture, financial inclusion, and basic infrastructure. The seminar aimed to accelerate convergence of government schemes at the district level by disseminating best practices from high-performing states.
