The Government of India imposed five-year anti-dumping duties on refrigerant gas R-134a and cold-rolled electrical steel imported from China. For steel, duties range from USD 223.82 to USD 415 per tonne; for R-134a, DGTR recommended a reference-price-based duty of up to USD 5,251 per MT, payable only when the landed value is below the reference amount. A separate duty was also imposed on Calcium Carbonate imported from Vietnam. The investigation was conducted by the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR). These measures aim to protect domestic manufacturers from unfairly priced Chinese imports.
