C-DOT's (Centre for Development of Telematics) indigenous Cell Broadcast Solution received the SKOCH Award 2025 for its role as India's national disaster and emergency alert platform. The solution supports 2G to 5G technologies and 21 Indian languages, enabling mass alerts during natural disasters, extreme weather events, and security situations.

The platform integrates with multiple alert agencies including IMD, CWC (Central Water Commission), and NDMA. Cell Broadcast technology sends messages to all mobile phones within a specific geographic area without requiring recipients to subscribe. This is critical for disaster-prone states like Rajasthan where extreme heat waves, flash floods, and locust swarms require rapid mass notification.
