Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated the National Agriculture Conference — Rabi Abhiyan 2025 at ICAR-IARI, New Delhi, with the theme 'One Nation — One Agriculture — One Team.' The conference set the Rabi 2025-26 production target at 362.50 million tonnes, up from 341.55 million tonnes achieved previously.

Key focus areas include strengthening agricultural extension involving central and state agriculture departments and agricultural universities, strict enforcement against counterfeit fertilizers and pesticides, expanding crop insurance under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, and the second phase of 'Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan' for Rabi crops was scheduled from October 3 to 18, 2025. India's agricultural growth rate reached 3.7%, described as the highest globally. Rajasthan's rabi crop targets include increased wheat, mustard, and gram production.
