President Droupadi Murmu conferred Skilling for AI Readiness (SOAR) certificates on January 1, 2026 upon learners, including students and Members of Parliament, and announced the '#SkillTheNation Challenge'. SOAR, a free 'AI for All' course, recorded 1.59 lakh enrolments over the last six months.

The '#SkillTheNation Challenge' aims to create an AI-ready workforce across urban, semi-urban, and rural regions through online and offline training partnerships. The programme partners with leading technology companies and educational institutions to deliver AI literacy and skills training. The initiative aligns with the government's vision of making India a global AI talent hub and supports the National AI Mission's skilling component.
