India and Brazil signed a Memorandum of Understanding on February 22, 2026 to enhance bilateral cooperation in the postal sector. The MoU aims to facilitate exchange of best practices in postal technology, e-commerce delivery logistics, and financial inclusion through post offices.

The agreement was signed in the context of both nations being major developing economies with extensive postal networks. India Post operates over 1.55 lakh post offices — the world's largest postal network — while Correios of Brazil manages over 10,000 post offices across South America's largest nation. The MoU also covers capacity building, technical exchanges, UPU coordination and South-South cooperation.
