The 44-day Magh Mela 2026 at Prayagraj concluded on Mahashivratri, February 15, 2026. The event, held on the banks of the Sangam (confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati), attracted over 18 crore (180 million) devotees throughout the season, far exceeding the initial estimate of 12-15 crore.

On the final day, millions of devotees took the concluding holy dip at the Sangam. The Magh Mela, running from Paush Purnima (January 3) to Mahashivratri, is considered one of the world's largest and oldest spiritual gatherings. The Uttar Pradesh government deployed extensive security and crowd management systems for the event.
