The Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) hosted a two-day National Training-cum-Workshop on the NAKSHA Programme from October 6-7, 2025. NAKSHA (NAtional geospatial Knowledge-based land Survey of urban HAbitations) is a pilot programme under the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP).

The programme aims to modernize urban land records in 157 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in 27 states and 3 Union Territories using geospatial mapping, GNSS, Web-GIS platforms, and aerial/drone surveys. District Magistrates and Collectors were trained for nationwide rollout. NAKSHA aims to enhance transparency in property ownership, reduce land disputes, and boost urban governance.
