The 71st Wildlife Conservation Week 2025 was inaugurated on October 2, 2025, at Nahargarh Biological Park (also known as Nahargarh Zoological Park) in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The week-long event, observed from October 2 to 8, was presided over by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife), Dr. T. Mohanraj. The theme emphasised community participation in wildlife protection. During the week, special campaigns such as 'Clean and Green Sanctuary' were conducted at Jhalana Leopard Reserve, Amagadh, Hathi Gaon, and Jaipur Zoo. Thousands of students from Rajasthan were given free entry to zoological parks and biological parks to promote wildlife awareness. The Wildlife Conservation Week, observed annually from October 2 to 8, was instituted in India to create awareness about the protection of wildlife and natural habitats. Nahargarh Biological Park, spread over 720 hectares near Jaipur, houses tigers, lions, bears, and various bird species.
