The Sumangal Diwali Fair 2025, organised by the Rajasthan Rural Livelihood Development Council (Rajivika) under the Rural Development Ministry, concluded on October 12 at the Indira Gandhi Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Institute, Jaipur. Inaugurated on October 1 by Rural Development Minister Dr. Kirori Lal Meena, the 12-day fair featured 65 stalls of handcrafted rural products and 10 food court stalls showcasing traditional Rajasthani cuisine (dal-baati-churma, ghevar, ker-sangri). Rajivika's mission is to reduce rural poverty by promoting self-help groups (SHGs) among rural women. The fair provided artisans from multiple districts a direct-to-consumer platform, enhancing rural women's income and linking local craftsmanship to urban markets.
