Rajasthan achieved a landmark renewable energy milestone in October 2025 by surpassing the 2,000 MW mark under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme. Jodhpur DISCOM's combined solar capacity under Components A and C crossed 2,017 MW — a record at the national level. Under Component A, 240 solar plants with 336.25 MW capacity have been installed. Additionally, 84,088 solar pumps have been provided to farmers under the scheme, significantly reducing diesel dependence for irrigation. Rajasthan leads all states in Component A installations nationally with 466.75 MW as of 30 November 2025, followed by Himachal Pradesh (100 MW) and Madhya Pradesh (52.13 MW). The achievement aligns with Rajasthan's Developed Rajasthan @2047 vision and supports the CM Bhajan Lal Sharma government's goal of energy self-sufficiency.
