PM Modi Inaugurates 'Rashtra Prerna Sthal' in Lucknow on Vajpayee's 101st Birth Anniversary
On December 25, 2025, observed as Good Governance Day (Sushasan Diwas), Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 'Rashtra Prerna Sthal' in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on the occasion of the 101st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The national memorial features 65-feet-high bronze statues of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.
The site includes a lotus-shaped museum spanning approximately 98,000 square feet showcasing the life and contributions of the three leaders. Good Governance Day was established in 2014 to honour Vajpayee's legacy.
