President Droupadi Murmu conferred the National Teachers' Awards 2025 on 45 outstanding school teachers representing 27 states, 7 union territories, and 6 organisations at a ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on September 5, 2025 — India's Teachers' Day. The theme for Teachers' Day 2025 was 'Inspiring the Next Generation of Learners.' Each awardee received a silver medal, certificate of merit, and a cash prize of ₹50,000.

The President, herself a former teacher, emphasised that education is the most powerful tool for social mobility and urged teachers to nurture students from the most disadvantaged backgrounds. The awards are administered by the Ministry of Education and recognise teachers who have made exceptional contributions to the quality of elementary and secondary education. The event underscores India's commitment to NEP 2020 goals of quality, equity, and inclusion in education.
