On November 13, 2025, Union Minister of State for Power Shri Shripad Naik launched the official logo and website of the Global Energy Leaders' Summit (GELS) 2025 at New Delhi. GELS 2025 will be held in Puri, Odisha from 5 to 7 December 2025, hosted by the Government of Odisha in association with the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change. The theme of the summit is "Powering India: Sufficiency, Balance, Innovation," which reflects the Prime Minister's energy vision built on four pillars — Energy Access, Efficiency, Sustainability and Security. The launch event was attended by Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha; Vishal Dev, Principal Secretary, Energy Department, Government of Odisha; Professor Anoop Singh from IIT Kanpur; and Vivek Agarwal, Country Director (India), Tony Blair Institute. Shri Naik said that GELS 2025 marks the beginning of a national and global dialogue on energy transition, climate leadership and technology-driven transformation. He noted that India is among the world's fastest-growing energy markets and praised Odisha as the first state to undertake power sector reforms in the 1990s. The Minister reaffirmed the commitment of the Ministry of Power and the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy to support the summit and said such cooperative federalism efforts are essential to achieving India's Net-Zero 2070 commitment and Nationally Determined Contributions. GELS 2025 will convene Union and State Energy Ministers with international energy leaders, innovators and industry CEOs, offering a platform for peer-to-peer dialogue among state ministers and strategic exchanges with global counterparts.
