The 2nd India AI Impact Summit 2026 was held from February 16-21, 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi organised by MeitY, NASSCOM, and NITI Aayog. The summit drew participation from more than 100 countries, 20+ heads of state, 60+ ministers, and approximately 6 lakh in-person attendees.

The landmark outcome was the adoption of the New Delhi Declaration on Artificial Intelligence, endorsed by 92 countries and international organisations. Inspired by the Indian principle of 'Sarvajan Hitaya, Sarvajan Sukhaya' (welfare and happiness for all) and 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam', the Declaration affirmed that AI's benefits must be equitably shared across humanity, with emphasis on sovereignty, safety, and inclusivity.

PM Narendra Modi announced India's MANAV Framework for AI governance — standing for Moral and Ethical Systems, Accountable Governance, National Sovereignty, Accessible and Inclusive, and Valid and Legitimate. New Delhi Frontier AI Impact Commitments were signed by 13 leading frontier AI companies including Google, OpenAI, Meta, Microsoft, and Anthropic. Over USD 200 billion in AI-related investments were committed. India also set a Guinness World Record with 2,50,946 validated pledges for AI responsibility in 24 hours. BharatGen Param2 (17B parameter multilingual model supporting 22 Indian languages) was launched alongside VoicERA.
