The Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) inaugurated the second edition of the New Delhi World Para Athletics Grand Prix on March 10, 2026, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The three-day event (March 11-13) brought together 257 athletes from eight nations including India, Nepal, Bhutan, Hong Kong, Serbia, Bosnia, Egypt and Neutral Para Athletes. India fielded the largest contingent of 219 athletes across multiple classifications. The event offered international classification opportunities across the impairment groups — 39 for physical impairments, 29 for vision impairments and 6 for intellectual impairments — with competition events listed separately in the official result sheets. Paris 2024 medallists Sumit Antil, Praveen Kumar and Mariyappan Thangavelu were among the star participants. India topped the medals tally with 208 medals — 75 gold, 69 silver and 64 bronze.
