India celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) on October 31, 2025, marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. Grand celebrations took place at Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, the site of the Statue of Unity — the world's tallest statue at 182 metres. Events included a grand parade, cultural performances, air shows, and nationwide 'Run for Unity' marathons.

Declared by the Government of India in 2014, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas honours Patel's role in integrating 562 princely states into the Indian Union after independence. Sardar Patel served as India's first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister (1947-1950). The Sardar@150 Unity March was observed across all states and Union Territories.
