Rajasthan is already ranked first in cement production in India, according to the state Mines Department. The desert district of Jaisalmer is set to emerge as a major cement hub with six new cement plants planned between 2026 and 2029.

JSW Cement recently commissioned a new greenfield integrated plant in Nagaur district, investing approximately ₹3,000 crore, marking its first major manufacturing foothold in northern India. The state's limestone reserves and strategic location are driving the cement industry expansion, with several major companies establishing or expanding operations in the state.
