Mahaparinirvan Diwas was observed on December 6, 2025, commemorating the 69th death anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution. Leaders across political parties paid homage to Dr. Ambedkar at Parliament House and Chaitya Bhoomi in Mumbai.

Dr. Ambedkar's key contributions include: leading the Constituent Assembly's Drafting Committee, shaping India's monetary policy (influencing RBI's creation), leading the Mahad Satyagraha (1927) and Kalaram Temple Satyagraha (1930) against untouchability, negotiating the Poona Pact (1932) establishing reserved seats for Dalits, and converting to Buddhism in October 1956. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna posthumously in 1990.
