Tata Group Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran was conferred the insignia of Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (KBE) on behalf of King Charles III at a ceremony at the British High Commissioner's residence in New Delhi on March 18-19, 2026. The honour recognizes his exceptional contribution to UK-India business relations. The Tata Group is among the biggest Indian employers in the UK, with 19 subsidiaries. Chandrasekaran, who has been Tata Sons Chairman since 2017, also serves on the boards of multiple global advisory councils. The KBE is among the highest honours the UK confers on foreign nationals for outstanding service.
