During Mauritius PM Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam's first bilateral overseas visit in his current term (September 9-16, 2025), India announced a USD 680 million Special Economic Package for Mauritius covering infrastructure and maritime security. Seven MoUs/agreements were signed, covering science and technology, oceanography, capacity-building through Karmayogi Bharat, power-sector cooperation, small development projects, hydrography, and a telemetry, tracking and telecommunications station for satellites and launch vehicles.

PM Ramgoolam visited Mumbai, Varanasi, Ayodhya, and Tirupati during his India tour. The development package strengthens bilateral ties under India's SAGAR (Security and Growth for All in the Region) doctrine and Vision MAHASAGAR, and the telemetry, tracking and telecommunications station agreement enhances India's maritime domain awareness in the Indian Ocean Region.
