President Droupadi Murmu granted assent to the SHANTI Bill and the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G) Bill on December 20 and December 21, respectively, converting both into Acts of Parliament.

The SHANTI Act enables private sector entry into India's nuclear energy sector and gives the AERB statutory status for the first time. The VB-G RAM G Act replaces MGNREGA and guarantees 125 days of employment per rural household. Both laws mark transformative policy shifts — opening nuclear energy to private investment while reforming India's largest rural employment programme.
