Indian boxer Jaismine Lamboria won the gold medal in the women's 57 kg (featherweight) category at the 2025 Women's World Boxing Championships held in Liverpool, United Kingdom, defeating Poland's Julia Szeremeta 4-1 in the final. She became the ninth Indian boxer to win a world title and the first under the new World Boxing governing body.

India finished with 4 medals overall — 2 golds (Jaismine Lamboria 57 kg and Minakshi Hooda 48 kg), 1 silver (Nupur Sheoran in +80 kg), and 1 bronze (Pooja Rani in 80 kg). This was India's best-ever performance at a Women's World Boxing Championship held abroad. Lamboria's victory marks a spectacular comeback after her early exit at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
