The India-EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) came into effect on October 1, 2025, marking India's first free trade agreement with four developed European nations — Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein. The agreement was originally signed on March 10, 2024, in New Delhi.

Under TEPA, EFTA has committed to promote investments of USD 100 billion in India over 15 years and facilitate 1 million direct jobs. EFTA offered 92.2% of tariff lines encompassing 99.6% of India's exports. The pact covers 14 chapters including goods, services, intellectual property, investment promotion, and sustainable development.
