Rohan Bopanna Retires from Professional Tennis After 22-Year Career
Indian tennis legend Rohan Bopanna, 45, announced his retirement from professional tennis on November 1, 2025, after a 22-year career. A three-time Olympian, Bopanna amassed 26 ATP doubles titles, including the 2024 Australian Open with Matthew Ebden, becoming the oldest man to reach World No. 1 at age 43.
His lone mixed doubles Grand Slam came at Roland Garros 2017 with Gabriela Dabrowski. His final ATP match was at the Paris Masters, where he partnered Alexander Bublik. Through the Rohan Bopanna Tennis Development Foundation, its Bhoomi Program currently has 35 children and provides boarding, lodging, formal education, and tennis coaching.
