Seychelles President Dr. Patrick Herminie concluded a five-day official visit to India (February 5-10, 2026), marking 50 years of diplomatic relations. Both nations adopted the 'India-Seychelles Joint Vision for Sustainability, Economic Growth and Security' (SESEL).

India extended a Special Economic Package of USD 175 million (USD 125M Line of Credit + USD 50M Grant). India donated 10 ambulances, 1,000 metric tons of grains, 10 utility vehicles, and 5 Laser Radial boats to the Seychelles Defence Force. This strengthens India's Indian Ocean security architecture and MAHASAGAR (Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions) vision.
