Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer was elected to the International Tennis Hall of Fame Class of 2026, announced in November 2025. He is the only player to receive enough votes in the player category in his first year of eligibility. The formal induction will take place at Newport, Rhode Island from August 27-29, 2026.

Federer, who retired in 2022, won 103 ATP tour-level titles (second only to Jimmy Connors), 20 Grand Slam trophies, and 28 ATP Masters 1000 crowns. He holds the record for the most consecutive weeks at World No. 1 at 237 (February 2004 to August 2008). Fellow Hall of Famers including Stefan Edberg and Boris Becker announced the news to Federer via video call.
