The Rajasthan Tourism Department formalized the 'Adopt a Tourism Site' initiative with operational guidelines being finalized. The scheme encourages public-private partnerships for heritage conservation with a minimum five-year commitment and allows commercial activities to fund maintenance. The department is exploring flexible hours including night access for select high-footfall sites like Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, and Chittorgarh Fort to boost tourist engagement and revenue. An eligible site list covering forts, havelis, step-wells, and eco-tourism spots across Rajasthan's 41 districts is being prepared. This supports Rajasthan's target to attract 50 lakh domestic and 8 lakh international tourists during the October-March peak season.
