C.P. Radhakrishnan was sworn in as the 15th Vice President of India and Chairman of Rajya Sabha on September 12, 2025, at Rashtrapati Bhavan. President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of office in the presence of PM Modi, the Cabinet, and senior dignitaries.

After the ceremony, Radhakrishnan visited Rajghat, memorials of former Prime Ministers Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Chaudhary Charan Singh, and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya's memorial. Born on May 4, 1957, in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and succeeds Jagdeep Dhankhar, who resigned on July 21, 2025 citing medical reasons.
