At least 17 people were killed and 18 others injured in a blast at the SBL Energy Limited factory, a mining and industrial explosives manufacturer located at Raulgaon in Katol tehsil, Nagpur district, Maharashtra on March 1, 2026. The explosion occurred at the company's detonator packing unit between 7:00 AM and 7:15 AM.

Prime Minister Modi announced an ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh from PMNRF for next of kin of each deceased and ₹50,000 for each injured. The Maharashtra government announced ₹5 lakh compensation. Police arrested nine directors of SBL Energy Limited under Section 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. NDRF led rescue operations at the site.
