At the India AI Impact Expo on February 16, Google announced a $15 billion investment to build an AI hub in Visakhapatnam, along with commitments to train 20 million civil servants and 11 million students in AI skills. The announcement came as part of the India AI Impact Summit 2026.

Other major investment pledges at the Summit included: Reliance Industries at $110 billion over 7 years, Adani Enterprises at $100 billion by 2035, General Catalyst at $5 billion over 5 years, and Lightspeed Venture Partners at $10 billion. Collectively, the Summit catalysed over $200 billion in AI-related investment commitments across infrastructure, foundation models, hardware, and applications. India also achieved a Guinness World Record for most AI responsibility pledges in 24 hours — over 2.5 lakh.
