Previous Year Question Patterns
| Year | Marks | Question | Sub-domain |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2021 | — | No BNS question (law was IPC then) | — |
| 2023 | — | No BNS question (law was IPC then) | — |
| 2026 | HIGH PRIORITY | First-ever BNS questions expected | All sections |
Pattern observations:
- BNS has zero PYQ — this is brand-new law for the 2026 exam. Examinees who know BNS sections will have a decisive advantage.
- Section mapping questions (Which IPC section → which BNS section?) are likely 2-mark questions.
- New offences (organised crime S.111, terrorism S.113, hit-and-run S.106(2), community service) are likely 5-mark questions.
- Sedition abolition and replacement by S.152 is a high-interest topic given recent Supreme Court scrutiny of sedition law.
