Organisations Exempt from RTI

Section 24 (Sections 21–31 are beyond the RPSC syllabus but mentioned for context): Intelligence and security organisations in the Second Schedule are exempt from RTI. These include:

• Intelligence Bureau (IB)
• Research and Analysis Wing (RAW)
• Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI)
• Central Economic Intelligence Bureau
• Directorate of Enforcement
• Narcotics Control Bureau
• Aviation Research Centre
• Special Frontier Force
• Border Security Force (and various military intelligence units)

Critical exception: Even these organisations must disclose information pertaining to corruption and human rights violations.
