National Schemes and Rajasthan's Digital Governance Alignment
Rajasthan's e-governance has been shaped by and contributed to national digital governance frameworks.
7.1 Digital India Alignment
UMANG App: National multi-service government app; Rajasthan state services (Jan Aadhaar status, Rajasthan Sampark) are accessible through UMANG.
BharatNet: National rural broadband connectivity; BharatNet Phase-II targets connecting all Rajasthan Gram Panchayats with optical fibre. As of 2024, 9,000+ GPs are connected; remaining ~2,300 GPs in desert and tribal areas are pending.
DigiLocker: National document wallet; Rajasthan issues Aadhaar, Jan Aadhaar, caste certificates, and mark sheets through DigiLocker for citizens.
PFMS (Public Financial Management System): All central scheme fund releases in Rajasthan flow through PFMS — enabling real-time expenditure tracking. Rajasthan's MGNREGS payments are PFMS-compliant.
