कैबिनेट ने 7 मई 2025 को 1,000 सरकारी ITI के उन्नयन और कौशल विकास के लिए पांच राष्ट्रीय उत्कृष्टता केंद्र स्थापित करने हेतु ₹60,000 करोड़ की केंद्र प्रायोजित योजना को मंजूरी दी। मुख्य बिंदु: • कुल परिव्यय: ₹60,000 करोड़ (केंद्र ₹30,000 करोड़, राज्य ₹20,000 करोड़, उद्योग ₹10,000 करोड़) • ADB और विश्व बैंक द्वारा केंद्रीय हिस्से का 50% सह-वित्तपोषण • 5 वर्षों में 20 लाख युवाओं को कुशल बनाया जाएगा • 5 NSTI उन्नत: भुवनेश्वर, चेन्नई, हैदराबाद, कानपुर, लुधियाना • इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स, ऑटोमोटिव, नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा क्षेत्रों पर फोकस
