Major state and national current events

The Senior Secondary 2026 syllabus lists this block as Current Affairs and gives five clear bullets: major contemporary events at state and national level in politics, economy, society, culture, technology, geography, ecology, sports and related fields; famous personalities; state and national-level programmes and policies; civic duties, including fundamental duties and moral values; and salient provisions of The Rajasthan Public Examination (Measures for Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Act, 2022. This file therefore stays with state and national current affairs. It does not teach advanced India-economy theory or a newspaper-by-newspaper daily dump.

Use a five-column revision sheet: event, institution, field, year and public significance. The institution column is the most important because it prevents loose memorisation. Election Commission, Parliament, Supreme Court, Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Rajasthan Public Service Commission, NITI Aayog, RBI, GST Council, ISRO, DRDO, National Disaster Management Authority, Rajasthan departments and district administration should be read as institutions with public functions.

For every fact, write the source and year beside it. A rank, index or award changes by year; a law, mission or institution may also be amended. CET questions usually reward clean identification: what happened, who did it, which field it belongs to, and why it matters to citizens or Rajasthan.

A good Senior Secondary answer bank should be source-first. Use official releases, budget documents, court or law notifications, constitutional text, RSSB syllabus, ECI material and Government of Rajasthan pages before adding any factual note. If the source is only a coaching summary, a social-media post or a rank without year, keep it out of final revision until an official source confirms it.
