Major national and international current events

The correct 2026 Graduation Level syllabus block is not a loose newspaper-reading instruction. It asks for major contemporary events at state, national and international level in politics, economy, society, culture, technology, geography, ecology, sports and related fields. It also names famous personalities, state and national programmes and policies, civic duties, fundamental duties, moral values and salient provisions of The Rajasthan Public Examination (Measures for Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Act, 2022. This means the topic must be read as current affairs plus civic responsibility, not as only awards or only politics.

For CET, convert every event into a compact exam unit: event, institution, place, year, target group and significance. A climate summit becomes useful when you know the host city and the core issue; a health scheme becomes useful when you know the beneficiary and benefit; a sports result becomes useful when you know the event and medal; a law becomes useful when you know the old framework or public problem it addresses.

Rajasthan links matter, but they should remain factual and functional. Rising Rajasthan belongs with investment promotion. Jan Aadhaar belongs with family identity and service delivery. The modified Parbati-Kalisindh-Chambal link belongs with drinking water, irrigation and regional water security. Avoid party slogans, speech lines, viral figures and unverified investment numbers.

Exam cue: revise this section in triples such as summit-place-year, scheme-beneficiary-benefit, law-purpose-date and athlete-event-medal.
