For CET, revise product-place, raw material, value chain, institution and market challenge together; avoid treating handicrafts, cottage industry and MSME as three unrelated lists.

Syllabus Scope And Exam Frame
The correct syllabus boundary is narrow and clear. CET Graduation 2026 puts this topic in Rajasthan economy under: development and location of industries; agro-based industries; mineral-based industries; small, cottage and village industries; export goods; and Rajasthani handicrafts. So the lesson should not drift into general art history or all-India MSME policy in isolation. It must explain how Rajasthan creates industrial and non-farm income from local resources, skill clusters, institutions and markets.
Use one integrated frame. Handicrafts show skill and regional identity. Cottage and village industries show small-scale production and rural livelihood. MSMEs show formal enterprise status, credit, compliance, market access and policy support. Agro-based industries connect farm output with processing. Mineral-based industries connect mines and stone belts with manufacturing, construction and exports. Export goods and tourism show how local products reach wider markets.
For CET, a strong answer links five things: place, product, raw material, value addition and institution. Example: Jaipur Blue Pottery is a craft identity; its economy includes artisan skill, design, finishing, tourism retail, packaging and online sale. Similarly, marble cutting is mineral-based manufacturing, but showroom sale, transport, design and export documentation are services.
Exam marker: this is an economy topic with culture inside it, not a culture topic with a few economic words added.
