REET Level 1 study notes
Length, Weight, Capacity, Time and Money
For REET Level 1 Mathematics, length, weight, capacity, time and money are primary measurement ideas taught through comparison, estimation, concrete measurement, standard units and simple conversions. The RBSE syllabus names standard units and relation between them, plus Indian Currency. A candidate should know 1 m = 100 cm, 1 kg = 1000 g, 1 l = 1000 ml, 1 hour = 60 minutes and 1 rupee = 100 paise, but should also know how a Class 1-5 teacher builds these facts through rulers, balances, containers, clocks, calendars and play money.
Key points
